There’s plenty for visiting families to explore during their stay at Humble Bee Farm. Visit the famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway, or the National Railway Museum in York; walk the Yorkshire Wolds Way; enjoy a stroll around Castle Howard Estate or Sewerby Hall and Garden; or take a trip to Bempton Cliffs or Flamborough Head Lighthouse!

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
There are several accommodation options available at Humble Bee Farm.
For the utmost in comfort and luxury, enjoy one of the farm’s beautiful self-catering holiday cottages. Tastefully transformed from original farm buildings, the cottages offer a tranquil and getaway with superb facilities. All three cottages accommodate up to four people in two en-suite bedrooms.
Alternatively, how about something a bit more unique which makes the most of the attractive countryside setting? Humble Bee Farm has a range of glamping accommodation on offer including Wigwam Cabins (in a range of styles, but all fully heated and sleeping between four and six people), Nomadic Yurts (sleeping up to four) and Bell Tents (sleeping up to five). With amenities including wood burning stoves, picnic areas and BBQs, the glamping accommodation here is great value and a brilliant way to enjoy the great outdoors as a family.
Prices at Humble Bee Farm depend on your accommodation preference and time of year; but as a rough guide, at the time of writing, a week long stay during the summer holiday peak for a family of two adults and two children costs around £1225 in one the cottages, while a similar length glamping holiday costs between £805 and £875. Special offers are often available, and short breaks are possible throughout the year.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Set in a quiet, rural valley, Humble Bee Farm is perfect for parents whose children enjoy unstructured play in the great outdoors. There’s plenty of safe, open space to play games and run around. It’s also a short walk onto the Wolds, with its abundance of wildlife, and there’s plenty for children to see on the farm itself – they can meet the resident animals including ducks, sheep, lambs, donkeys, alpacas and ponies, not to forget Farmer Percy himself! If you’re lucky you’ll be collecting eggs for breakfast.
Children will also enjoy the fun on-site facilities including Mini Bees Play Area, sports field and play barn. We also love the sound of the interactive Nature Trail where you can learn about all the local wildlife.
Special events perfect for families run seasonally throughout the year including Lambing, Easter, Summer Family Fun, Alpaca Adventures, Pumpkin Patch, Bonfire Night and Festive Family Experiences.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Parents will just love the on-site Hive Café Bar at Humble Bee Farm. There are local beers, prosecco, hot drinks and more on offer; or enjoy easy family mealtimes with pizza nights and light bite menu featuring classics like burgers, paninis and hot dogs. Breakfast filled rolls and home bakes are also sometimes available.
Or for a special occasion or just something a little different, why not book out the on-site BBQ hut? Offering cosy Scandinavian comfort whatever the weather, the BBQ hut can easily accommodate up to 15 people. Locally sourced BBQ meat can also be purchased.
Families will also enjoy hiring a fire pit and toasting marshmallows as the sun sets.
Two of the cottages at Humble Bee Farm – Swallows Nest and Humble Bee Cottage – have their own private hot tub, temptingly situated under festoon light swaddled pergolas – perfect for mums and dads to relax after a busy day (or for the kids to enjoy a splash!). The three Premium Lodges at Humble Bee Farm also benefit from private hot tubs.
Superfast wifi is available throughout the site, and pets are permitted in some of the accommodation (check before you book).
