Balnab Farm is located in the Dumfries and Galloway region of Scotland. Popular visitor spots nearby include the fishing village of the Isle of Whithorn, the seaside town of Garlieston and delightful beaches like Rigg Bay. The famous Wigtown Book Festival, held annually each September, is hugely popular and well worth a visit.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
Accommodation at Balnab Farm takes the form of luxury canvas hideaways: cosy, comfortable spaces which expertly reflect the ‘back to basics’ vibe of the glamping experience yet provide a luxurious holiday home with plenty of space, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and a private outdoor shower.
For an idea of prices, a stay at Balnab Farm during the school summer holiday peak season costs £1400/week, or £750 for four nights (Mon-Fri). Prices are lower at less busy times – for example, just £450 for a long weekend in October, or £960/week in March.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Balnab Farm is a Feather Down holiday, which means it’s all about giving guests – old and young alike – a relaxing escape to a simpler life. So for youngsters visiting Balnab, it’s a welcome opportunity to put the screens away and make the most of the great and glorious outdoors – running around, exploring, making dens and playing in the way kids used to! At the centre of the campsite is a play area with climbing, water play and straw bales, providing a safe and exciting space to let off steam.
Farm tours are often also available, led by the farmer, giving children a fantastic opportunity to learn more about life on the farm. And guests are also able to help feed and groom the animals. Tractor rides and Shetland pony rides are also regularly available.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Dinner is made easy at Balnab Farm on nights when the farmer fires up the pizza oven – a lovely opportunity for families to gather around together and have fun while the food is prepared for you!
There’s also a handy farm shop on site selling local produce and essentials.
For maximum relaxation for mums and dads, you can hire the on-site wood-fired hot tub for a private two hour session.
Baby and toddler equipment like cots and highchairs can be provided on request.
Pets are allowed to stay at Balnab for a small additional fee.
