These cottages are tucked away in the beautiful rural Dorset countryside near the village of Sherborne. A network of footpaths can be accessed from your doorstep and it’s just 30 miles from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and its famous attractions like Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Family friendly days out in the local area include Sherborne Old Castle, Haynes International Motor Museum and Fleet Air Arm Museum. Dorchester is also within easy reach.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
The properties here are nestled around a pretty courtyard setting, set at the end of a pretty driveway. There are four self-catering cottages in all: two sleeping four, one sleeping six, and one sleeping eight people. The properties all benefit from open log fires, modern well equipped kitchens and large shared gardens.
For an idea of prices, a family of four could stay in two bedroom Hummingbird Cottage for a week for around £1190. Four bedroom Heron Lake Cottage, sleeping eight, costs just over £2000 at the same time of year; but this attractive barn conversion could easily accommodate a couple of families sharing its open plan lounge/kitchen/diner.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
There are expansive shared grounds to enjoy – perfect for little ones to let off steam in a safe outdoor environment. This includes two lakes home to herons, kingfishers and swans. Always a Parent Friendly Stays favourite, there’s a delightful indoor heated swimming pool, and a well equipped outdoor play area with slide and climbing frame.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
There’s free WiFI provided throughout, and pets are welcome. Cots and other baby equipment are available to borrow.

Nestled in the beautiful Dorset countryside, these cottages offer well-priced child friendly accommodation set in extensive grounds and with some excellent facilities; in particular the tempting indoor heated swimming pool, which we think will prove popular with guests of all ages.
