The cottages are located in a secluded spot on the edge of Exmoor, just half a mile from the popular seaside town of Minehead with its attractive sandy beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. Exmoor National Park is within easy reach, while popular tourist attractions in the local area include the West Somerset Steam Railway.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
There are four cottages to choose from. The largest two – Virginia Cottage and Courtyard Cottage – offer the most suitable for families, with each providing four beds split between two bedrooms (one double and one twin). There’s also a well-equipped kitchen, open plan lounge-dining area with smart TV, and private seating area outside.
Costs rise to around £1600/week for a family of four in peak summer holiday times, but can be found for as little as £730 during the off season.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Younger visitors will love the shared outdoor heated swimming pool, safely situated within a separate walled area with poolside furniture. The pool is open between May and September each year.
The grounds of the cottages also offer plenty of safe outdoor space to unwind and let off steam, with two acres of subtropical grounds to explore; these include a secret garden and outdoor play equipment including swings and giant chess.
There’s also a shared paddock with friendly resident goals, sheep and a miniature pony. Animal loving children will enjoy the opportunity to feed the goats using the provided oats!
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Baby and toddler equipment included high chair, travel coat and stairgate can be borrowed on request.
There’s a handy shared utility room with freezer, washing machine and dryer – perfect for those dreading returning home with a week’s worth of dirty washing!
The communal fire pit at these cottages is a great place to enjoy an evening with the family toasting marshmallows as the sun sets, while the charcoal BBQ makes al fresco dinners in your private courtyard a breeze.
Pets are permitted to stay at the cottages for a small additional fee, and useful equipment like dog crates, water bowls, towels and treats are provided – a really nice extra touch. Dog walks can be enjoyed straight from your front door.
