East Shilvinghampton Farm is located near Weymouth, West Dorset, and makes a great base to explore the full range of the county’s attractions: from Chesil Beach, on the Jurassic Coast world heritage site, to famous seaside destinations like Lyme Regis, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
Accommodation at East Shilvinghampton takes the form of luxury canvas hideaways: comfortable, cosy spaces with nearly 500 square feet of living space and all the home comforts you’ll need for a relaxing break. Each hideaway sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms, and all come with their own internal toilet, while bathrooms are either within the accommodation or close by.
For an idea of prices, a seven night stay for a family of four during the peak summer holiday season costs around £1230 (though you can fit up to six people in each hideaway!); or you can grab a three night long weekend for £600. At less busy times, for example in September, a week’s stay costs just under £800 or a long weekend is around £500.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
East Shilvinghampton is a Feather Down glamping location meaning holidays here are all about enjoying the great outdoors: unique ‘back-to-basics’ family adventures surrounded by nature and beautiful surroundings. As such, you won’t necessarily find a huge range of organised activities here or a WiFi signal: children are encouraged to roam free (away from their screens!) and soak up the fresh air while playing, exploring the woods, building dens, toasting marshmallows and making the most of the opportunity to taste a simpler way of life.
At East Shilvinghampton, animal-loving youngsters will enjoy meeting the friendly farm animals – cows, goats and hens – and for a small additional fee you can even take one of the resident alpacas for a walk! Farm tours are also available.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The on-site honesty shop at East Shilvinghampton has a range of local produce, beef and pork, making dinner times a breeze – and you can pre-order home-cooked goodies too.
Mums and dads will also enjoy the new hot tub area designed for relaxation and hydrotherapy message – yours for a small fee.

“What could be more idyllic than staying on a working farm on the Dorset coast? East Shilvinghampton has been a part of the Bartlett family for over 80 years and meeting Martin and Joby’s cows, goats and hens will be one of the highlights of your holiday. Their son Henry looks after the alpacas and you can take them on a walk for a small fee. Your canvas hideaways are situated close to the farmyard and offer panoramic views across the valley. It’s the ideal spot for a family holiday in Dorset.”
