Cropton is well placed for families looking to enjoy Yorkshire’s great outdoors. A range of forest trails, moorland rambles and dramatic coastal paths are in easy reach, while gentle family friendly cycle trails can be found in Cropton Forest itself. Dalby Forest, Yorkshire Outdoors and Go Ape are all in easy reach, as are Jorvik Viking Centre and York Dungeons. The North Yorkshire coast is just a 45 minute drive away including Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay.

There are various cabins available at Cropton – Silver Birch and Golden Oak – including with one, two or three bedrooms. The modern and well-equipped cabins all come with open plan living areas, log burners and a private hot tub on the decking.
For an idea of prices, a family of four staying at Cropton in the summer peak can expect to spend from £1685/week for a two bedroom Silver Birch lodge. A long weekend stay out of season can be yours for as little as £790 – perfect for a short break with the kids to cure the winter blues.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Forest Holidays are all about enjoying the great outdoors: there’s a wealth of safe open space to enjoy, footpaths to explore and cycle routes to ride.
