Keldy is located in Cawthorne, near Pickering in North Yorkshire. There are a wealth of family friendly days out in the local area including the seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough, catching a steam train through the moors (including Goathland – famous as the home of TV’s Heartbeat, and also Hogsmeade Station from Harry Potter!), or visiting the local theme parks, museums and gardens. Visit York’s exciting Jorvik Viking Centre or Dungeons, give Go Ape a go at Dalby Forest, or head to Scarborough’s Sealife Centre or Castle Howard.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
There are 59 woodland forest cabins at Keldy, with a wide range of options including Silver Birch and Golden Oak. All the cabins are cosy and well-appointed, with a log burner in the living room, and each one features its own private hot tub on the decking so you can properly relax as you take in your attractive woodland surroundings.
There’s also a magnificent Golden Oak Treehouse, sleeping up to eight in four bedrooms, which is a standard Golden Oak cabin with an additional fairy tale master bedroom accessed across a rope bridge.
For an idea of prices, a two-bedroom Golden Oak cabin sleeping a family of four is likely to cost around £2025/week during the summer peak. A three bedroom Silver Birch, sleeping up to six, costs around £2420/week at the same time of year. An off-peak week starts at just £800 – and you’ll still be able to make use of the tempting hot tub on your deck whatever the weather!
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Forest Holidays are all about enjoying the great outdoors, and the Keldy site is perfect for families with children of all ages.
There’s a children’s play area at the Forest Hub, along with the opportunity to meet the Forest Ranger and book a range of activities – from Mini Forest Rangers, Forest Discovery and Ultimate Forest Survival through to Nocturnal Adventure walks and a guided walk followed by cream tea!
It’s also possible to hire bikes to help you explore the local area on two wheels. And a range of other activities including zipwires, Segway tours, Go Ape and more.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
All the lodges at Keldy come with their own private hob tub and a log burner – guaranteeing a cosy, relaxing evening for mum and dad with a glass of wine in hand when the kids head to bed!
The Forest Hub is home to a welcoming restaurant serving delicious freshly cooked meals and snacks, and a well-stocked bar. Perfect for those evenings when you don’t want to cook!
There’s also a handy store selling everyday essentials, treats and souvenirs. And you can book a range of other luxury extras like pizza or burger night packs, cases of wine or Prosecco, in-cabin spa treatments and more.
It’s possible to book travel cots, highchairs, and in-cabin entertainment packages (featuring unlimited access to a large variety of on-demand movies and sports). Pets are welcome in some of the lodges, and WiFi is available.
