Home Farm Holiday Cottages are located on the edge of the village of Weybourne, which is just a 20-minute drive north up the coast from Cromer. Weybourne is in an area of Outstanding Natural beauty and the village is surrounded by woodland and heathland, perfect for those who enjoy the great outdoors. Within walking distance are the beach (where you can enjoy watching fishing boats return) and the North Norfolk Steam Railway and Muckleburgh Military museum – both worth a visit with the family. If it’s a sandy beach you’re after then the seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer are a short drive away. Why not hire a boat on the Norfolk Broads for the day or visit the Dinosaur adventure park? – there is so much to do and keep the family busy in the local area.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
There are 20 cottages at Home Farm which sleep between 3 and 7 people plus a cot. The cottages are mainly co-located within the main complex where the swimming pool, park and games room are. Some of the houses (including the dog friendly cottages – the cottages on the main site are all pet-free) are situated across the main road opposite the main site, while three of the cottages are a five minute walk away. The cottages are traditional-style Norfolk brick a flint and are all beautifully decorated to a high standard, equipped with everything you will need for a self-catering stay. The cottages all have their own private patio or garden and come with their own parking. For those coming as part of a larger group with several families, many of the cottages are situated close to each other.
For an idea on pricing, a week in a cottage sleeping four people in the height of summer ranges from as little as £820 to £1300 depending on the cottage. Off season this drops to between £430-£620 per week.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Home Farm Holiday Cottages are set within beautiful grounds with plenty of playing space for the children to run around in, as well as the wonderfully equipped children’s play area which has all ages of children in mind. The play area has two climbing frames (one for older children and one for younger), two sets of swings, picnic tables and a lovely wooden play house.
The lovely indoor heated pool is great for wetter days or just to help the children get some practice in. It’s kept at a tempting 29 degrees and is easily big enough for family fun.
As if that wasn’t enough to entertain the children, there is also an on-site games room located near the pool with two table tennis tables and a pool table.
The coast is a 10-minute walk from the complex. The sea is very deep here so this is more of a stone throwing beach, but perfect for young children nonetheless. There are plenty of family walking opportunities from Weybourne taking away the stress of loading the car. There is a 3-mile cliff top walk to Sheringham or head in the other direction to the Salthouse Marshes to show the children the migrating bird life.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
What’s great about Home Farm Holiday Cottages is its convenient location on the edge of a village with the local amenities and beach both being within easy walking distance. The local village store is ideal for picking up your basic food supplies, toiletries, magazines, papers etc, while there’s also a coffee bar serving hot drinks, cakes and picnic items. There is another tearoom within the village too. Also, within staggering distance from the cottages is a fantastic family friendly pub – the Ship Inn – which serves hot food most lunchtimes and evenings. Finally, the Maltings Hotel serves bar meals as well as being a restaurant. So much choice on the doorstep makes life with young children a lot easier!
Home Farm benefits from an on-site beauty room providing the opportunity for guests to treat themselves to a luxury spa treatment – all usual treatments are available as well as some special pampering packages, and can be booked online in advance to ensure a relaxing holiday! Attached to the swimming pool is a mini gym for the use of those over 18 years old – perfect for the more active parents.
Some of the cottages at Home Farm are dog friendly and there is free WIFI across the complex. All the houses come with puzzles and games for the children and cots, highchairs, fireguards and stair gates are available on request.
IN SUMMARY…
Home Farm Holiday Cottages aims to be ‘like a mini Centre Parcs, but with the seaside right next door- a homely alternative’. At Parent Friendly Stays we agree with this sentiment – there’s plenty here for kids and adults alike, and the convenient location minimises the amount of times you’ll be loading everyone in and out of the car. Factoring in the very competitive prices, this is somewhere we’d love to visit in future!
