Our review of the Kingsmills Hotel
ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
There are a variety of family rooms available at the Kingsmills Hotel, providing comfortable, spacious and well-equipped holiday accommodation to suit all needs.
The family rooms take the form of classic, luxury, retreat and studio rooms. Classic is the standard offering; luxury offers larger open spaces; retreat provides an even more luxurious space to enjoy; while the extra large studio rooms have separate rooms for the children and can accommodate up to four children in bunk beds. This is a great feature for larger families, as we often find it can be difficult for those with more than two children to stay in the same space.
Prices start at around £150/night. At the time of writing, a two night stay for a family of four can be found during the summer holiday peak season for around £330/night on a bed and breakfast basis, staying in one of the largest family suites. Deals are also often available – at present including options where children stay and eat free, including dinner and breakfast!
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The four acres of gardens at the Kingsmills are a great place for youngsters to explore and let off steam. Or enjoy the brief stroll to the children’s play park next door with slides, swings and more.
The Kingsmills Leisure Club offers a shallow warm swimming pool, perfect for young swimmers.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
The sauna, steam room and gym are great places for a bit of grown-up exercise and relaxation.
Dinner times are easy at the Kingsmills, with child friendly menus on offer at the on-site restaurants or also available in the bar. You can also order food to your room if you’d prefer.
Keen golfers will enjoy the Kingsmills’ location at the centre of some of the world’s best and most historic courses.
Pet friendly rooms are available, enabling the family dog to come on holiday too. The River Ness, running through the centre of Inverness, is a lovely walk or enjoy some of the local beaches.
IN SUMMARY…
With family rooms, leisure facilities, a park next door and located just a short stroll from the city centre, the Kingsmills Hotel is perfectly placed for families looking to explore Inverness or the surrounding areas.
