Newhill Farm Cottages are set right on the edge of the Pitmedden Forest Recreational Area, offering easy access to popular walking and cycling trails. Family friendly activities in the local area include watersports, horse riding, and visiting the fabulous dunes and wildlife at the local beaches; or take a trip to attractions including Deep Sea World, Scotland’s Secret Bunker, Loch Leven or the Scottish Deer Centre.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
Newhill Farm offers three charming and family friendly cottages, each with its own character. Horse Mill Cottage sleeps up to six people across three bedrooms and features a spacious sitting room with an open fire and a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area; it’s ideal for multi generational stays. The Old Cart House accommodates four guests in two bedrooms and boasts a cosy sitting room with open fire and a fully equipped kitchen. The Old Stables also sleeps four, all on the ground floor, making it accessible for those with mobility considerations – great for a holiday with the grandparents. It offers an open-plan living area with a log-burning stove.
For an idea of prices, a seven night stay for a family of four in the Old Stables during the summer holiday peak costs £1055 – we think that’s excellent value given the facilities on offer.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
You’ll find lots at Newhill Farm to keep little ones entertained.
There’s an indoor heated swimming pool great for kids of all ages, which benefits from its own changing facilities and toilets, and also has a number of pool accessories like arm bands, floats and goggles available to borrow. The pool complex is also home to an indoor hot tub (in addition to the private outdoor ones).
Children will also enjoy a well-equipped games room featuring table tennis, table football and snooker/pool; there are also toys and games to borrow. This area also houses gym equipment including running machine, exercise bike and mats – ideal for active teenagers or healthy mums and dads!
Outside there’s also plenty of activities to occupy your children, including a brilliant full size all weather tennis court, and an outdoor play area with slide, swing, ladders and scramble net.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Each cottage at Newhill Farm benefits from its own private outdoor hot tub, proving the perfect place for grown-ups to unwind and relax at the end of day (or equally for the children to enjoy a soak). The log burners or open fires in each cottage also guarantee a cosy evening.
The farm’s new picnic area with eight seater table is a great place to sit, socialise and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside.
There’s a double electric vehicle charging point for those travelling with an EV. And family dogs are welcome.
