Riviere Sands is perched on the cliffs above St. Ives Bay, Cornwall. There are plenty of child friendly days out easily accessible from Riviere Sands if you fancy a break from the holiday park. These include Newquay Zoo, Dairyland Farm World, Flambards Theme Park, Paradise Park, the Lappa Valley Steam Railway, and the numerous beautiful coastal destinations offering sandy beaches, clotted cream teas and cosy harbours.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
Accommodation at Riviere Sands takes the form of comfortable caravans with a range of specifications. These range from the most basic, the Standard range, through to Deluxe and Prestige models which benefit from additional luxury features like bigger living areas, higher quality furnishings, outdoor decking areas and sea views. The largest caravans can sleep up to eight people in three bedrooms.
For an idea of prices, a family of four staying at Riviere Sands during the summer holiday peak can expect to pay from £1870/week (or £1980/week including ‘Stay and Play’, which you’ll likely need for access to the various on-site facilities). A deluxe model starts from £2260 at the same time of year, including Stay and Play.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
There’s tons to keep children happily entertained at Riviere Sands. The fantastic outdoor swimming pool, paddling pool and slides are great entertainment when the sun’s out, while the heated indoor pool guarantees you a splash regardless of the weather. There’s also an all-weather activity range and an outdoor adventure playground (with lovely sea views).
There’s direct access from the Riviere Sands park to the nearby beach, making a day trip with the family to build sandcastles, sunbathe and play in the waves a doddle.
A wealth of optional child friendly activities are available to book at an extra charge: these include archery, bungee trampolines, crazy golf, kart hire, den building, bug hunt, and various creative sessions like sand art and pottery. Paddleboarding and surfing lessons are available on the nearby beach, and children will love keeping their eyes peeled for seals and dolphins playing along the shoreline.
For indoor fun, especially for older kids, you’ll find pool tables and an amusements arcade.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
There are three food and drink venues at Riviere Sands, including the Bluffs Inn restaurant which has superb views over St. Ives Bay and offers family friendly meals; making dinner time a breeze if you don’t fancy cooking. Other options include the Coast Café and Cook’s Fish and Chips.
You’ll find a handy onsite supermarket offering everything from holiday essentials through to freshly baked goods, plus a toy shop, swim shop and equipment hire service. There’s also a handy laundrette on site if you need a change of clothes for the little ones, and free WiFi is available across the park.
For family friendly evening entertainment, look no further than the Live Lounge which offers family friendly shows including live music, comedy and dance.
