The cottage is located near the village of Yelverton, Devon, on the south-western edge of Dartmoor. The World Heritage town of Tavistock is within easy reach with its market, shops and cafes, while family friendly attractions in the area include Pennywell Farm, Southwest Segway, the Dartmoor Mystery Treasure Trail and Woodlands family theme park.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
The cottage is a detached, single storey property which has been furnished to a high standard throughout and offers modern, comfortable and immaculately clean holiday accommodation. There’s an open plan kitchen/diner/lounge, and two beautiful bedrooms – one double and one twin – both of which offer en-suite bathroom facilities.
Outside there’s a private south-facing decked area with garden furniture, and at the rear is a shared garden with lawn and patio. A BBQ is provided for summer evening cooking.
For an idea of prices, a week-long stay for a family of four during the summer peak costs around £1480; we think that’s pretty competitive.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
We love the look of the indoor heated swimming pool at this holiday – just 50 yards from the property. It’s the perfect place to let the kids splash, jump and dive while parents join them in the water or relax on the nearby seating. There’s also a superb petanque pitch with delightful views over the Tamar river; find your inner continental sportsperson and enjoy a family competition as the sun sets!
There’s also plenty of safe, open space for little ones to run around and play football, cricket and so on.
The nearest beach is around 13 miles away, making a family day out at the seaside an easy round trip.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
With its rural location and superb views, this cottage offers peace, tranquillity and relaxation for mums and dads looking for break from the daily grind at home. The south facing garden with decking and furniture offers a superb place to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the delights of Devon.
Massages can be booked via the owner during your stay for the ultimate in indulgence, and similarly it’s possible to organise clay pigeon shooting trips.
WiFi is included, but pets are not permitted.
IN SUMMARY…
This cottage is modern, well-equipped and has great facilities – both the pool and petanque are perfect holiday activities for family groups of all ages. With river walks on your doorstep and both north and south coasts within driving distance, we think this is a fabulous find (and a well-priced one too).
