Our review of the Old Vicarage
ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
The Old Vicarage offers spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to twelve people. The former Victorian vicarage has been updated and modernised into a luxurious holiday let while maintaining lots of the style, elegance and original features of the building.
There are six bedrooms in total and four bathrooms, each offering something slightly different.
The property also benefits from a well-equipped open plan kitchen with professional Rangemaster and Nespresso coffee machine, a cosy dining area with log burner, and comfortable lounge also with log burner.
Prices vary depending on the time of year. As an example, at the time of writing, you can enjoy a long weekend (three nights) at the Old Vicarage in February or March for around £1600, while a full week during the summer holiday peak costs around £3300.
CHILD FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
There’s lots for children of all ages to enjoy during their stay at the Old Vicarage.
The property offers both table football and a full size table tennis table, along with a helpful collection of board games and a library including books and DVDs to borrow. Plus there’s smart TV with Netflix.
Outdoors there’s a climbing frame and slide for younger ones to play on, along with football goals on the old tennis court which now serves as a perfect pitch. The generous gardens and orchards are the perfect place for children to play and let off steam in a safe enclosed environment.
PARENT FRIENDLY HOLIDAY FEATURES
Nothings says luxurious relaxation quite like the Old Vicarage’s very own private five-seater hot tub, heated 24/7 and offering beautiful views across the garden. The neighbouring sauna is an equally appealing prospect for mums and dads looking to unwind after a busy day exploring! Massage treatments are also available for booking with a visiting therapist.
For making the most of sunny days or enjoying an evening drink while the children play, the Old Vicarage offers two separate patio areas. There’s ample garden furniture and a top of the range charcoal BBQ.
Pets are welcome to stay and there’s free WiFi.

WHAT THE OWNERS SAY
“My brother and I had a really happy childhood in this house. We loved running around the garden exploring, playing football and tennis or chasing our dogs. Goodness knows what we would have made of the table tennis, climbing frame, table football and everything that has been added – come and experience it yourself!”
